About Bahrain Obstetrics and Gynecology Club

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at King Hamad University Hospital has taken the keen initiative to establish Bahrain OB/GYN Club in the year 2017 acquiring the support and cooperation from the medical, nursing, and midwifery staff from Salmaniya Medical Complex, BDF Hospital, and all other Private Hospitals/Clinics across the Kingdom.

OB/GYN Club meeting is an ideal platform for all the obstetricians and gynaecologists available in Bahrain to come together under one roof to discuss and share their best experiences and expertise in the specialty. OB/GYN Club meetings include presentations, lectures, case discussions, workshops, and other interactive sessions.

The primary purpose of OB/GYN Club is to update the medical knowledge of physicians and also to raise the standard and quality of medical care. The Club will convene on a quarterly basis, primarily on the 4th Thursday of the month, in a star-hotel facility. Speakers from both international and local level will give scientific lectures during the Club meetings. Time for interactive Q&A sessions has been assigned post-lecture. Each Club meeting will be awarded with CME points through NHRA and Certificate of Attendance will be provided to the attendees as well. Evaluation forms will be distributed to all the attendees at the end of the meeting and their feedbacks will be taken. Buffet dinner will be arranged by the sponsoring companies post-meeting.

The first OB/GYN Club meeting was held on May 11, 2017 at Gulf Hotel with over 100 medical, nursing, and midwives in attendance.
